All For You

You’re tired, I know.

But it’s okay.

Just lie down. Close your eyes.

Breathe. Deeply. And let it all out slowly.

And I know just what to do.

Just stay there.

I will be right back.

“You think I’d leave your side baby
You know me better than that
You think I’d leave you down when you’re down on your knees
I wouldn’t do that”

The scented candles have been lit —the combined aroma of lavender and tangerine.

It is meant to titillate the senses.

The bedroom lights had been turned down low.

I want to help you relax.

“When you’re on the outside baby and you can’t get in
I will show you, you’re so much better than you know
When you’re lost and you’re alone and you can’t get back again
I will find you, darling and I will bring you home”

Do you hear that? That’s Sade singing. I know we both like listening to her and her music.

I’ll place my cool hands on your temples and trace calming circles against your skin.

Do you like that? Good.

My fingers slowly slide up into your hair, massaging your scalp, lightly scratching. I want to massage all your worries away.

I then place gentle kisses on your forehead, the lids of your eyes, and your cheeks.

I feel your breathing has slowed.

Your body is relaxing.

I smile. Good. That’s the idea.

I rub your shoulders and massage down each arm to reach your hands.

Each finger gets its own loving attention.

You are sleeping now.

I continue.

I love your chest.

While mine seemed soft, yours is strong, hard, and textured.

I lightly trace your muscles, still massaging, still dropping light-as-air kisses as I touch you.

Perfect. You are just perfect.

Your breathing is heavy, but it’s the heaviness of sleep.

Your features are relaxed.

Your body is still.

My hands continue.

Down to your legs.

Your legs—they are different than mine.

While I like the feeling of my freshly shaved legs, I also love the feeling of your hair against the palms of my hands as I draw them down your legs.

To your feet.
