Everyone thinks I have a weird name kasi baka daw natypo so I always got teased during my elem days, sobrang lungkot ko lagi pag uwi and halos lagi nalang ako naglalaro ng favorite game ko na nadiscover ko when I was watching Youtube and it was DOTA 2, I really loved the game. Halos everyday din ako nasa court naglalaro ng Basketball pati volleyball kaya athletic din ako and have a height of 5’9″, medyo okay rin naman sa acads since marami din nagpapaturo sakin kung magsosolve or essays, yun nga lang di ako ganun ka gwapo, I have a decent body pero that’s what I can show someone, mahiyain ako tsaka I only have one best friend, Carlo. He has everything, the looks, brains, and personality, lahat na meron sa kanya kaya kadalasan marami kumakausap sakin na babae para tanungin siya pero I just turn and walk away, nakakahiya kaya.
This went on until I became a Senior High, dun na nagbago lahat nung nakilala ko si Renelyn, it was the first day of school and umupo ako sa may pinaka likod katabi ng bintana (gusto ko kasi nakikita ko kadalasan sa mga anime MCs). I was minding my own business and had my earphones on when someone tapped me at my shoulder, when I turned, napasagi mukha ko sa malambot na di ko maintindihan, medyo nagulat ako and napahawak don sa malambot tapos…
???- “Ahhh!”
Me- “Uhmmm *bigla ko inalis pagkahawak ko sa melon niya and tinanggal right side ng earphone*, I-I’m so sorry!”
???- *she stared at me for a good 2 seconds* okay lang, di mo ako nakita eh haha. May nakaupo ba dito? *pointed at the chair next to me*.
Me- “wala naman, go ahead”
Medyo inexpect ko na kukunin niya lang upuan para makiupo sa ibang long table kasi medyo kulang mga upuan eh. I was surprised when she sat beside me. I got a good look at her and halos di ako makapaniwalang may magandang tumabi sa akin, she’s also tall which I think she’s 5’5″? I stole glances at her while she’s scrolling through her phone and I can tell that she’s a transferee kasi never ko siya nakita all throughout my Junior years, I can also feel na sikat siya because a LOT of the guys at the front also keeps glancing at her. Not only her looks but the melons I toucher earlier, IT. IS. HUGE.
The class ended faster than I expected kasi may meeting pa daw teacher namin kaya we are left with 30 minutes until our next subject. While waiting, I opened my messenger and saw Carlo’s chat na punta daw ako sa canteen kasi nandoon siya. I grabbed my bag and went to the canteen, as I was walking, I felt someone is following me, I turned and looked and I saw Melons.
Me- “Uhmm, d-do you need something from me?” I said shakily.
Melons- “Medyo nakakahiya mag ask pero pwede muna ako sumama sayo?”
I was stunned. A girl asking me to go with me? Am I dreaming? I collected myself and thought that since she’s a transfer student, of course she wouldn’t know anything and might also be shy, since we had an interaction, I guess that means we’re friends? No, acquaintances.
Me- “S-sure…” I answered mumbling. I saw her face brightened up and a cute smile emerged. It was the cutest smile I have ever seen. We walked side by side while trudging through the halls and stairs. Every boy was focused on her, not only the boys but also the girls but their stares were the looks of envy. I guess it’s because sobrang ganda niya and her huge front.
We arrived at the canteen and I saw Carlo along with a girl.
Carlo- “Musta bro? *she looked at Melons* hi ate!”
Melons- “wag ka na mag ate, nakakahiya”
Carlo- “hahaha, okay. Nililigawan mo Aki?”
Me- “huh? Di ah!” Napasigaw ako kaya marami students napatingin sakin, napaupo tuloy ako sa hiya.
Carlo- “HAHAHAHA nako bro, yan kailangan mong baguhin sa sarili mo, di ka na magkakajowa niyan kasi masyado kang mahiyain.”
Me- “I’m trying okay…”
Carlo- “Aight, alis na kami because she has classes na. Bye you two!” He said as they got up and walked away. Kahit kelan talaga yong bakulaw na yon, magapapunta tapos aalis bigla.
Melons- “Sino yon Aki?” she asked. I didn’t notice she was standing this whole time.
Me- “Upo ka, kanina ka pa nakatayo diyan.” I got up and moved to the next chair. Nakita ko napangiti siya sa gina…
