did not communicate with her for a few weeks. Alam kong she was in a difficult situation with her daughter knowing our relationship.
THen one night, may natanggap na naman akong text from Rose.
Rose : Hello, kuya, kamusta
I was surprised to say the least, akala ko that incident with her daughter would definitely end our relationship, pero eto ngayon sya pa rin ang naunang mag reach out sakin.
Me : Hi iha, I am well, ikaw kamusta?
Rose : I am okay rin kuya, can I call you po?
di na ako nag reply but tinawagan ko na lamang sya.
“Hello po Kuya?”
“Hi iha, you need anything? How did it go with yourt daughter?”
“Okay naman po manong, naiintindihan nya naman our situation.”
“So she’s just okay sa nakita nya?”
“She understood what was at stake kuya, it’s either that or makukulong si Dad nya.”
“Oh I see, smart girl. So what is this call about darling?”
“Ah eh kuya, we need additional money na naman po kasi?”
“Magkano na naman?”
“We need another 50k po?”
“Ok let me ask you, how much all in all yung exposure ninyo sa mga investors ninyo?”
“Ah…eh….”
“Give me that number then call me back. Then I will let you know what I want in return for it.”
pinutol ko ang aming tawag and waited for her call, I grabbed a glass of scotch to calm my nerves, kinakabahan ako sa hihilingin ko sa kanya in return for the money. Di ko kasi sigurado kung papayag sya alam ko kasi that it will be pushing it.
After my second glass my phone rang.
“Hello?”
“Hi Manong, si Rose po to. I have na po the numbers you are asking for?”
“O, sige, how much pa yung kakailangan mo lahat na lhat na?”
there was a longer than usual silence on her end
“Well???” Tanong ko ulit.
“Ah…eh….we need pa po $120k?”
Napa-isip ako ng kaunti, this is a very substantial amount, but sa hihilingin ko sa kanya I think this amount is well worth it.
“O sige, I can manage to give you $120k….”
“Really manong, salamat talaga ha….” excited na sabi ni Rose sa kabilang linya.
“Teka lang don’t get excited too much…I have something na hihilingin sayo before I give you the money.”
“Ano yun manong??”
“Well you remember ang time na yun na your daughter caught us?”
“Opo manong, how can I forget it…”
“Kasi before pa ka nya tinawag nun, nakikita ko na syang sumisilip sa kwarto mo while we were doing it. Matagal-tagal din nya tayong pinapanood ad I was also watching her and it aroused me very much that she was watching us….”
“What are you trying to say Manong?” I can sense a hint of concern sa kanyang boses.

After sinabi ko yun I can only hear silence sa kabilang linya. KInabahan ako as I waited for her to respond. I was worried na baka I have crossed the line this time.
Lumipas ang isang minuto pa bago sya nag salita ulit.
“I don’t think magagawa ka yan kuya, pasensya na.”
“Sige I understand… just let let me know if you change your mind.”

After that conversation di na ako nakarinig pa from Rose, it’s almost a month na kaming walang contact, di ko na rin sya at ang family nya nakikita sa church. Until isang Sunday ay nag-usap kami ng ng pastor at nabalitaan ko na lamang na marami na pala ang mga cases na finile kay Ed and it was just a matter of time na makukulong sya if hindi na mababayaran ang lahat ng investors nya.
When I heard of that bigla akong na awa sa pamilya, I was pretty sure na kung bingyan ko lamang sila ng pera na kailangan nila hindi na hahantung sa ganito. So when I got home agad ko tinext si Rose.
Me : Hi can I call you?
halos 30 minutes din ang lumipas bago sya nag reply.
Rose : Hi po, sure po you can call
Once I got the go ahead I called her up.
“Hello”
“Hi Iha…”
“Hi po Manong, kamusta po?”
“Okay lang ako, ikaw kamusta? I heard from pastor yung sitwasyon ninyo? How bad is it?”
Di sya nakasagot agad but I can hear sniffles sa kabilang linya, I think umiiyak si Rose.
“Are you okay iha?”
“Manong they are going to arrest Ed kung hindi kami makakabayad…huhuhu…” hagulgul ni Rose from the other line.
“Are they going to withdraw the cases if ever makakabayad kayo?”
“Yes po, yun ang sabi nila and ng lawyer namin….”
“Okay…sige, you said $120k? Right?”
“Opo manong…” patuloy ang pag-iyak nya.
“Magkita tayo sa Square One, I’ll give you the cheque na dun. Be there in half an hour.”
After our call, I went straight to Square One, isang mall dito sa Toronto, and after a 15 minutes or so after I arrived dumating na rin si Rose.
“Hello…are you okay?”
“Okay lang po manong..” malungkot at nakayukong sabi ng magandang ginang.
“Okay here is the cheque, wag ka nang umiyak. And I don’t expect you to pay for it either. Para sayo yan.”
Her face brightened up ng makita nya ang halaga ng cheque. Sinobrhan ko ng kaunti and made it $150k instead.
“Thank you….Thank you talaga manong…thank you!!!” di magkamayaw sya sa pag pasalamat sakin.
Niyakap nya ako at binigyan ng maiinit na kiss sa lips.
“What was that for…”
“Your thank you kiss….I love you manong…”

After namin nagkita, naputol na ang communication between us. I heard na lamang from our pastor na inurong na daw ng mga investors nila ang mga kaso laban sa husband ni Rose, and that minabuti na raw nilang mag transfer sa Guelph para kasi raw nahihiya na sila mga friends nila.
Napa-iling na lamang ako, I just consoled mysef na at least nakatulong ako sa family nila and at the same time nakatikim ako kay Rose.
Well it has been 6 months since last kaming nagkita, and pratically I have forced myself na kalimutan na lamang sya until one day, I got a text from Rose
Rose : Hi Manong, I am here sa Toronto today and tomorrow. Can I see you, pwede ba tayong mag meet?
I was really surprised ng mabasa ko ang text nya, just reading her text ingnited some spark sa bayag ko that I instantly got a hard on, as in tigas ang titi ko agad.

Rose : I am staying here sa Holiday Inn, dito sa Hurontario and Britannia
