Alam ko marami ang naiinggit sa akin sa opisina. I mean, masisisi mo ba sila if every single day of their miserable lives eh wala silang ibang nakikita kundi ang mga achievements ko sa company?
“Congratulations Anthony for a job well done!”
“Thank you sir. I really appreciate it.”
Ito madalas ang eksena sa aming opisina. Hearing praises from my boss is just normal to me. And everytime I hear it, alam ko na marami ang mga matang nakatingin sa akin. Men don’t like what they see. But the women…
“Hi Anthony! Grabe ang galing mo talaga!”
“Thanks Ellaine. Hindi lang ako sa work magaling.”
“Oh really? Saan ka pa ba magaling?”
“Well, let’s have dinner tonight and you’ll find out.”
Ellaine is like the queen bee of our workplace. Marami sa mga kaopisina ko ang nagpapapansin sa kanya. But they’re all out of her league. Ellaine is the type of girl who knows what she wants. And would not hesitate to make a move just to get what she wants.
Kaya naman when she walked up to me, I knew I got her in the palm of my hands. And I know na mas maraming maiinggit sa akin if they see me go out with Ellaine.
I have to admit, Ellaine is a fox. Tignan ka pa lang niya sa mga mata eh for sure mahuhulog ka na with her smoky eyes. Napakapino ng kanyang ilong and her slender body compliments her long legs. Dagdag pa ang napakakinis at maputing balat.
Sometimes I wonder why she ended up in a company that’s dominated by men. But I guess she enjoys the attention she gets because she knows how attractive she is.
“Shall I pick you up at your desk at 6?”
“Fine! Basta ba pakakainin mo ako sa masarap.”
“Oh I’m sure masasarapan ka later.”
She gave me that look as she walked away from the grin I have on my face. Alam ko na naintindihan ni Ellaine ang ibig kong sabihin and that just felt really good. Napatingin ako sa salamin and gave myself a pat on the back.
Damn you’re good Anthony!
Hindi pa nakakalayo si Ellaine ay kaagad namang lumapit sa akin si Miguel.
“Putangina pre lupit mo talaga! Mukhang makakana mo ngayon si Ellaine ah!”
“Syempre naman pre. Tsk! Ako pa ba?”
“Gago ingat ka lang at binabakuran na yan ni sir Rigor.”
“Eh anong magagawa ko kung pinagbuksan ako ng bakod?”
Nagtawanan kami ng malakas. Miguel and I are like brothers from different mothers. He’s the guy that I know has my back if I fucked up at ganun din ako sa kanya. Sometimes nagkakaintindihan na kami kahit sa mga tinginan lang.
And just like every guy, we tend to keep score. Since madami ding mga babae ang lumalapit kay Miguel, naging katuwaan na naming magkaibigan na magpadamihan ng babaeng maiuuwi. But this time I know that Miguel wishes to trade places with me.
As a matter of fact, every men in my company want to be me at this very moment dahil lahat sila ay matagal ng pinagnanasaan si Ellaine. And now she’s coming with me.
Pagpatak ng alas sais ay kaagad kong pinuntahan si Ellaine sa kanyang lamesa. Lahat ng mga mata ay nakatingin sa akin. Waiting for my next move.
“Ready?”
“Let’s go!”
Dahan dahang tumayo si Ellaine mula sa kanyang pagkakaupo. Everytime her body moves eh para akong nanonood ng concerto. The way she waves her hair will make you bend your knees. Nakaramdam kaagad ako ng paninigas ng aking alaga sa loob ng aking pants.
Naka tucked-in pa naman ang polo kong suot kaya’t bakat na bakat ang aking titi na gusto ng kumawala at handa ng tikman ang babaeng nasa aking harapan. And isang maling tingin lang ni Ellaine ay siguradong makikita niya ang bakat sa aking pantalon.
We left the building and went straight to my car. Pinagbuksan ko siya ng pinto at kaagad naman siyang sumakay. Mabilis naman akong naglakad paikot sa aking side at sumakay. Tumingin ako kay Ellaine before I turned on the engine.
“I’m glad we’re doing this.”
“What are we doing?”
“You’ll see.”

SOFT MUSIC. You’ll know that you’re in an expensive restaurant kapag ganitong musika ang tumutunog. Just pure instrumental played by piano and violin. Just enough to set up the mood for whatever’s planned right after a nice meal.
Lahat ng mga guests ay naka dress up at alam mong malalim ang bulsa. And this is the kind of people I want to be a part of. Certainly an expensive way to impress a girl.
The hostess guided us to a table in the corner of the room. I can tell that Ellaine is not new to this kind of environment. Hindi nagtagal ay lumapit na ang waiter to get our order.
“You don’t seem impressed?”
“Should I be?”
“I meant the place.”
“Well I’m more interested in you.”
I must say, sobrang nachachallenge ako kay Ellaine. Like I said, she is not like every other girl. And every time she speaks makes me bring up my A game.
“Well, what do you want to know from me?”
“Are you married?”
Napasandal akong bigla sa aking upuan after hearing Ellaine. I looked straight into her eyes staring at me. Pinakikiramdaman kung seryoso ba talaga siya sa kanyang tanong.
“If you’re looking for a husband, I am not that guy.”
“Hindi naman sa ganon. I just want to know what I’m getting myself into.”
