It was a Friday night and Marie was inside a cab, on her way to see her friends. Because of the metro traffic, she took her phone out from her purse and opened messenger.
I’m sorry. Might be around 20-30 more minutes for me to get there.I
She typed and sent to notify her friend. A reply came in almost instantly.
Oh! Traffic again. It’s okay. By the way, someone you know is here.
Intrigued, she inquired.
Who?
I heard from a friend today
And she said you were in town
Suddenly the memories came back to me
in my mind
Her eyes widened at the name that was mentioned in her friend’s response.
Aries
“Fuck!” she exclaimed and saw the shocked look on her driver’s face from the rear view mirror.
“Not you kuya, sorry…” she apologetically said.
Okay. See you guys later.
Those are the only words she can reply.
Her mind instantly got filled by things about him. His handsome face, his smile, his body, the sound of his husky voice. And more importantly, the things he made her feel. Her thoughts became pre-occupied by everything about Aries that she had totally forgotten about the traffic and the time she spent with it on her way.
“Ma’am…”
“Ma’am?” called the cab driver again, but this time with a raised voice. “We’re here…”
She paid the cab fare and got off. Just before she entered the resto-bar, she took a deep breath.
“Marie… Calm down… It’s all in the past… Aries is all in the past…” she said in her mind before she exhaled and went inside.

Time and time I’ve said
That I’ll never fall in love with you again
Everybody in the gang is having fun. Well, except for Marie. She was struggling to keep distance from Aries. But the said task is easier said than done. Ever since she came in and joined the group, she immediately got paired up with Aries.
“How can my friends betray me?” she asked inside her mind.
It’s not that she was betrayed. But rather, it was because nobody in her friends knew of what exactly happened between him and her. What her friends only know is that they tried dating and they stopped.
But what makes it harder for Marie is the fact that Aries is still the same old him. The very same sweet guy that she liked. Every now and then, Aries would do a sweet gesture that gives her the impression of being taken good care of. Like asking if she’s still okay before drinking another shot of alcohol. He would tell everyone how extraordinary of a woman she is.
But she still intended to keep her guards up. And Aries felt it.
Just after she went out of the ladies’ room to freshen up, she came across Aries, who was actually waiting for her to come out.
“Why are you feeling awkward toward me?” Aries asked her.
A wounded heart you gave
My soul you took away
Good intentions you had many
I know you did
“Stop talking as if you didn’t left me hanging!” Marie responded, but only inside her mind.
In actual, she just rolled her eyes, walked pass him and never gave her response. She couldn’t say it straight to his face. At the back of her mind, she knew that she can’t blame Aries that she had fallen for him back then. She knew that it was wrong to blame someone, when it was you who fell for that person.
But after what happened between her and Aries, she found it hard to trust guys again. She did accommodate blind dates every now and then, but that’s just it. She pushed all the other guys away before she would start feeling something for them. She thought that she would end things before she would get hurt.
Back in the group, Aries didn’t stop being sweet to her. And she felt alarmed realizing that she is starting to like his sweet gestures, again. She felt alarmed because what took her months to move on, is now starting to come back again in just hours and minutes.
“No Marie… Stop it…” she said to herself. “You can’t fall for him again…”

After a few hours, they decided to call it a night. After everyone was bidding their goodbye’s, she decided to drop by the ladies’ room first to refresh herself. On her way out, she took out her phone so that she could book a ride home. But to her surprise, her phone is off and wouldn’t turn back on.
“Oh shit! Dead batt?” she exclaimed but in a low voice.
She hurriedly went out to look for her friends but it was too late. They all have left.
“Fuck it!” she exclaimed again with a hint of irritation. “Why now of all the times?”
She decided to walk towards the road and from there, wait and fetch herself a cab. While walking, a car stopped by her side, and she heard the sound of its window rolling down.
“Marie!” called out a familiar voice.
She momentarily closed her eyes out of frustration. And then turned to face the car’s owner.
“What?” she irritatingly said.
“I just thought of giving you a ride home…” Aries replied.
“No… I’m okay…” she replied. “I would rather take a cab…”
“I don’t want to be next to you…” she added but just inside her mind.
“Are you sure? Cabs don’t usually pass by this place and…” Aries responded then he stuck his head a little outside the window and looked up. “It looks like it is going to rain hard any time now…”
She looked up. She noticed that she couldn’t see any stars.
“No Marie… You can’t be with him… Not when it’s only the two of you…” her voice reinforced inside her head.
But before she could even respond with another no, the heavens gave out a thunder as a warning. It was a strong, loud and angry one.
Conceding to the facts, she was left with no choice but to agree.

She was now seated inside Aries’ car on the passenger seat next to him driving. Just after less than three minutes, it did rain. In fact, it poured hard.
She started hating the fact that she failed to manage for her own ride home. And not just that, she hates more the fact that within her mind, she is anticipating things that she shouldn’t be. She is imagining doing the deed again with him. And what’s alarming is the idea that she is not sure if she can resist should Aries take initiative for it again.
She can’t even stop her pussy getting wet with the idea of her getting laid by him again.
“No Marie!” she heard her own voice screaming at her inside her mind. “You should do everything to stop that from happening.”
During the whole time on their way, Marie couldn’t stop envisioning different scenarios on how Aries would initiate for the deed. And at the end of it all, she is hearing her very own voice telling her what she should do and say to stop him.
Just at the last turn before reaching her home, she heard her conscience’s last words.
“Marie, if you couldn’t stop it from happening, do yourself a favor of at least not getting attached again!”
Then they finally reached Marie’s house. In one last effort to prevent anything from happening, she quickly thanked him for the ride, got out of his car, and bravely ran in the midst of the heavily pouring rain. But what she didn’t notice was that Aries quickly followed her. Just after Marie opened her door, Aries was already standing just right behind her.
And with one fluid and suave move, Aries indeed took the initiative.
So here we are alone again
Didn’t think it’d come to this
And to know it all began
With just a little kiss
He held her arms and turned her facing him. He then immediately wrapped his other arm around her waist and pulled her that their drenched bodies physically met each other.
“Hhhhhhmmmmnnn… Mmmmmmnnnhhhh…” moans managed to escape through their lips even though they were sealed.
After he kissed her, it took only seconds when she started kissing him back. Without breaking contact, he managed to lead them both inside her home. He kicked her door shut, pinned her against it and started kissing her again. Almost instantly, memories came rushing inside her mind which fueled her excitement. She was lost in pleasure of the kiss and the flashbacks inside her mind that she didn’t even notice Aries had completely unbuttoned her blouse.
